TECOLOTE III
This past weekend marked another exciting chapter in our off-roading adventures as the Twin City Off-road Team from El Paso joined forces with Unbranded Misstifts Offroad from San Antonio, Wild West 4x4 from El Paso, and friends from NM Trail Hogs. Together, we embarked on our annual journey through Tularosa, NM, exploring the stunning landscapes of Coyote Canyon and Tecolote Canyon. This event, affectionately dubbed “Ruta Tecolote,” is not just about the ride; it’s about the bonds we share and the community we’ve built.
One of the most beautiful aspects of this year’s event was the palpable sense of connection among the team. It felt as if we hadn’t seen each other in ages, and the excitement of reuniting was evident in every shared laugh and story. As the president of the team, I took a moment to step back and observe the joy on everyone’s faces. It was a reminder of what we truly stand for: we are more than just an off-roading community; we are a family.
Team VP Alejandro Robles took it upon himself to keep the group together, cook and ensured everyone was safe and having fun. Had VPs Esmi, Juan and team members Julio lined up to ensure everything about the event was taken care of. the whole team stepped up and assisted with this event that came with some obstacles but they really really showed what being a team is all about and kept it moving forward. HUGE SHOUTOUT TO ALL TWIN CITY MEMBERS!!!!
My wife’s unwavering support throughout the event was a cornerstone of our gathering. She effortlessly made everyone feel welcome, extending warm invitations to newcomers and ensuring they felt like an integral part of our family. Her ability to connect with others reinforced the spirit of camaraderie we cherish so deeply. ANOTHER HUGE SHOUTOUT TO MY WIFE “LA PRESI”
While this year’s trail was shorter than in the past, the length of our connections felt infinitely longer. We paused to cook and share meals, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The most important rule we uphold—leaving no trash behind—reminds us of our responsibility to care for the beautiful landscapes we explore. Yet, this year, the focus shifted to the relationships we nurture, making it less about the trail and more about the hug of family that enveloped us all.
As we look back on “Ruta Tecolote,” we are reminded that it’s the people who make these adventures worthwhile. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and here’s to many more trails, stories, and family hugs in the future! Let’s continue to build on this spirit of togetherness, welcoming all who want to join us on this incredible journey.
FINAL SHOUTOUT!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEJANDRO ROBLES AND JUAN RAMON MEDRANO!!!
